Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, director of the Police Regional Office Region 3 (PRO3) has been designated new chief of the Directorate for Comptrollership of the Philippine National Police (PNP) effective Friday, June 20.

Her designation as comptroller is part of PNP Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III's move to reshuffle senior police officials, with new assignments.

Fajardo, as Director for Comptrollership, will assist the Office of the Chief PNP in the administration and management of the police force's financial resources.

She will replace Major General Neil Alisañgan, who was designated head of the Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao.

Brigadier General Rogelio Peñones will assume as PRO-3 officer-in-charge.

In January this year, Fajardo was recently appointed director of PRO-3, the first female to hold the said post, replacing Brigadier General Redrico Maranan.

She also served as the provincial director of Pampanga police, chief of the Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office-Central Luzon, chief of police of the City of San Fernando and Lubao town in Pampanga.

Fajardo is the current PNP spokesperson but it is not clear if she will remain in the post.
