In celebration of Filipino Food Month (FFM) this April, the Department of Agriculture – Central Luzon launched the month-long activity on April 7, 2025, with a cooking demonstration held at the agency's regional office.
The project carries the theme “Sarap ng Pagkaing Pilipino: Yaman ng Ating Kasaysayan, Kultura, at Pagkatao”.
The event was led by Regional Executive Director Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz Jr.
The celebration is in line with Proclamation No. 469, Series of 2018, which declares April as Filipino Food Month to promote local products of farmers and entrepreneurs and encourage the public to discover and enjoy Filipino cuisine.
The program aims to strengthen the country’s food industry and highlight the historical and cultural significance of native dishes.
The cooking demonstration showcased a variety of traditional Filipino recipes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
It also served as a platform to honor the work of Filipino farmers, fishermen, and producers who are the backbone of the nation's culinary heritage.
