The number of flooded barangays in 16 areas across Pampanga decreased to 258, based on the Pampanga Capitol’s Situational Report No. 57 dated August 22, 2026.
The provincial government said flooding was reported in Guagua, Lubao, Sasmuan, Arayat, Bacolor, City of San Fernando, Mexico, Santa Ana, Apalit, Candaba, Macabebe, Masantol, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, and Santo Tomas.
Among the areas monitored, Candaba recorded flooding of up to 20 feet in some parts of Barangay San Agustin.
Flooding reached as high as six feet in portions of Guagua, Bacolor, Santa Ana, San Luis and San Simon.
The Capitol said the flooding was caused by continuous and heavy rainfall, high tide, overflowing rivers and creeks, poor drainage systems, and others.
The report also showed that flooding affected different portions of barangays, with recorded depths varying by location.
These figures were based on reports from the city and municipal disaster risk reduction and management offices.
