

Pampanga Third District Representative Mica Gonzales is among the elected deputy majority speakers of the 20th Congress.
Gonzales is a daughter of former Third District Representative Aurelio "Dong" Gonzales, Jr.
During the absence of the House speaker, one of the House deputy speakers will preside over Congress.
The congresswoman said she is honored to be elected as one of the deputy speakers.
She vowed to use the opportunity to serve her constituents in Arayat, Bacolor, Mexico, Sta. Ana, and the City of San Fernando.
"Gagamitin ko ang pagkakataon na ito para mas mapalawak pa ang paglilingkod ko sa inyong ka Tersera Distrito ko," she said.
As of July 30, Gonzales has filed 11 proposed House Bills (HBs) in the 20th Congress.
For the local level, she proposed HB 288 (Bacolor Reconstruction Program); HB 289 (Declaring San Guillermo Church in Bacolor, Pampanga) a Heritage Site and Tourist Destination); HB 290 (Mt. Arayat as Tourist Destination); HB 291 (Pampanga Service Road); HB 292 (Sindalan-Anao Road Conversion); HB 293 (Mexico-Magalang Road Conversion); and HB 993 (Jose B. Lingad Medical Center and increasing its Bed Capacity from 1,000 to 1,500 beds).
In the national level, she filed HB 294 (Agricultural Support Act); HB 295 (Digitalization of K-12 Education in Public Schools); HB 296 (OFW Hospital Act); and HB 297 (Property Registration Act).
