Guagua Mayor-Elect Anthony Torres vowed to work for the strengthening of unity within the municipal government.

He assured constituents of "inclusive" service under his administration’s slogan, Tulon-Tulong Tayo.

Torres made the promise during a public address on the evening of May 12, shortly after being proclaimed winner in the town’s mayoralty race.

Torres garnered 38,819 votes from 86 clustered precincts.

He won by a wide margin against his opponent, former Mayor Dante Torres, who received 10,879 votes.

Torres expressed his gratitude to his supporters for their trust in his leadership and group.

He assured that government services for various sectors of the community will be enhanced.

Torres' running mate, June Lim, ran unopposed for the position of vice mayor.

Majority of the candidates for municipal councilor under Torres’ slate also secured seats.

Elected councilors include Joe “Boss” Mendoza, who topped the race, followed by Joan Cares Carreon, Roan Reyes, Jovy David Tulio, Amos Guilas , Mike Mangiliman , Michelle Rivera, and Eugene “Boy” Ponio.
