A report from the Commission on Audit Angeles City showed that over P1.5 billion in cash was left in the coffers of the Angeles LGU by June 30, 2025, when former Angeles City Mayor, and now Pampanga First District Congressman, Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. stepped down from office.
The Statement of Financial Position of Angeles City shows that by June 30, 2025, the total current assets of the city government amounted to P1,718,448,947.96, composed of P1,527,785,718.94 in Cash and Cash Equivalents; P11,969,972.34 in Receivables; P62,745,437.70 in Inventories; and P115,947,818.98 in Prepayments and Deferred Charges.
Meanwhile, the Total Non-Current Assets of the local government by June 30, 2025 amounted to P9,363,118,472.74, composed of P11,153,766.66 in Investments; P21,941,212.58 in Receivables; P148,462,317.96 in Investment Property; P9,169,617,483.70 in Property, Plant and Equipment, Net; P2,403,431.40 in Biological Assets; and P9,540,260.44 in Intangible Assets.
According to the COA Report, the total assets of the Angeles LGU as of June 30, 2025 amounted to P11,081,567,420.70.
For the same period in 2024, the Total Current Assets of the Angeles LGU amounted to P2,260,567,867.57. These was composed of P1,878,330,784.46 in cash and cash Equivalents, P52,956,954.80 in Receivables, P86,943,434.17 in Inventories, and P242,336,694.14 in Prepayments and Deferred Charges.
Meanwhile, the Total Non-Current Assets amounted to P7,233,685,729.90, composed of P10,906,877.15 in Investments; P67,088,328.92 in Receivables; P148,462,317.96 in Investment Property; P6,994,026,028.07 in Property, Plant and Equipment, Net; P2,403,431.40 in Biological Assets; and P10,798,746.40 in Intangible Assets.
The financial statements of the Angeles LGU have been certified by Angeles City Auditor Amelita Inovero.
