The family, colleagues, friends and associates of businessman Levy P. Laus commemorated his sixth death anniversary at his mausoleum in Sanctuario de San Fernando on Friday.

Laus, founder of the conglomerate Laus Group of Companies, perished along with two others in a helicopter crash in Barangay Anilao, Malolos City, Bulacan on April 25, 2019.

A pioneering trader and staunch countryside development advocate, LPL as he is popularly known, was respected for his and his circle of co-visionaries mission to lift Pampanga off the ground, especially after the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1995.

“That is his most enduring legacy to the province and the countryside. He had a vision and made sure it was realized through, among many ways, the Laus Group of Companies. It was his mission to uplift the lives of people in the many communities we serve. And that mission lives as we carry on his legacy,” said eldest son Paul A. Laus, president of the LausGroup.

As chairman emeritus of the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., he shared the same visionary mindset to help boost the local economy and inspire budding entrepreneurs.

“It is a legacy that should should be emulated by young businessmen. We have so many of them now and many also whom he and the chamber help grow,” shared PamCham Director Architect Nestor Mangio.

Laus’ sixth death anniversary commemoration started with a concelebrated mass presided by Monsignor Ric Serrano, followed by flower offerings and hourly vigil in the afternoon.
