THROUGH a collaboration led by City of San Fernando’s Arts, Culture and Tourism Council, we witnessed for the first time a fusion of art forms through a selling-exhibit that aims to raise awareness that art can be showcased just about anywhere and in any way.

Kapampangan X is a newly formed experimental group of homegrown artists and advocates from different age groups sharing the same cause and passion to bring to fore enthusiasm in visual, culinary, music and antique collection, moreso, Kapampangans’ deep love and appreciation for culture.

“The letter ‘x’ is often used to mean a value that is not yet known. It is called a ‘variable’ or sometimes an ‘unknown.’ And just like an art, it is meant to be interpreted and appreciated in different eyes,” said Jude Pangilinan, one of the featured artists.

Meanwhile, City of San Fernando Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin expressed his support to the city’s local and budding artists: “We are behind you and together, let us promote this industry for the betterment of our city,” he quipped.

And apparently, Bale Capampangan’s was specially chosen to host the event as “it not only fills the appetites of tourists, local and foreign, but it is also a house that nourishes one’s hunger for art, culture and history,” said Nicole Castro, the establishment’s PR and Community manager.

Furthermore, to celebrate in the season of giving, the exhibit encourages art enthusiasts as well as visitors of Capampangan to take part in the spirit of giving when you purchase a piece of these one of a kind masterpieces until Monday, November 4.
