Some of us grew up seeing our mothers, at home, cooking and cleaning endlessly. But little that we know that mothers have talents, too! Play some music or give her an instrument and voila! See your mom groove to the beat!
Bing Zablan Dizon is a true blue artist who lives in Angeles City. I saw her do ballroom dancing, play the guitar, sing and tinker the piano, and the list goes on and on.
Just turned 70, she is an epitome of a woman who is free, capable and entrepreneurial. She gets her inspiration by reading her favorite set of books about self- improvement and life motivation, etc.
She also spends her time painting with soft pastels and soon in watercolor! I have seen all her flower paintings and she is really good! Meanwhile, a new set of drums sits in the corner of the room, waiting for her.
Bing is a real estate broker/businesswoman and currently the president of Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Association (CREBA Angeles City Chapter). She finishes her day by dancing in the evenings!
"Sa umaga, dispatsadora ... sa gabi ay bonggang bongga!"
Her only daughter Xandrea stays abroad with her own family but communication lines are great, so thanks to technology. Bing recalls that she led a very challenging life juggling between working and rearing Xandrea solo. She felt that a day was not enough to fulfill her duties or, maybe she was not just great in time management. Nevertheless, she remained to be a good provider and big supporter of her daughter.
With a smile, she revealed one of the happiest moments in her life as a mother -- this was when her then 14- year old daughter was chosen to be in the golf Philippine team and joined the Junior World Championship held in San Diego, California. Proud mom indeed!
Life has been a blessing for Bing. Grateful as she is, hard work played a big role for what she is now. And she gives back to the community through organizations like Kundiman ning Angeles (cultural) and other arts and women empowerment related projects.

At this time of the year, mothers are treated extra special as they should be. We feel the love and walk the path of our mothers as we turned mothers ourselves.
