10 Central Luzon LGUs lead SGLG

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Ten local government units (LGUs) in Central Luzon topped this year’s nationwide list of first completers in the delivery of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund projects for the fiscal year 2022.

The SGLG incentive fund was established through Republic Act 11292 or the SGLG Act of 2019 which aims to harmonize local government initiatives with the national development agenda.

Leading this year’s list is Mexico town in Pampanga, followed by Bagac and Hermosa towns both in Bataan in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

Others on the list include Bamban in Tarlac, Tarlac City, Zaragoza in Nueva Ecija, Plaridel in Bulacan, Talavera in Nueva Ecija, Santa Maria in Bulacan, and Orion in Bataan.

SGLG incentive funds may only be used in projects that support the following: good fiscal administration; disaster preparedness; social protection and sensitivity program; health; education; peace and order and public safety; and business friendliness and competitiveness.
