1,000 policemen tasked to secure BSKE in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — At least 1,000 personnel of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office (PPPO) will be deployed to secure the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) in the province.

Colonel Levi Hope Basilio, director of PPPO, said at least two personnel will be stationed at each polling center in the province on the election day.

The election day for barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan is scheduled on October 30.

Basilio said there are a total of 505 voting centers in the province for the BSKE this year.

“At least 1,000 personnel po ang idedeploy natin and they will be joined by force augmentations na nagpapatrol within the areas,” he said.

Basilio added that there are no election hotspots identified in the province for the coming election.

“Patuloy pa rin ang assessment natin at ready naman ang Pampanga police sa anuman pangangailangan ng probinsya,” he said.

Based on Commission on Elections data, there are at least 1.4million registered voters in Pampanga.
