A TOTAL of 104,988 indigent families in Central Luzon benefitted from the Rektang Bayanihan: Adopt-a-Family relief drive by the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the region.

PRO Regional Director Rhodel Sermonia said the project was launched in March, three days after the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine.

“With our Food Bank, different government agencies and stakeholders all over the region continue to donate non-perishable food items which add up with those we distributed. This makes it possible for us to keep on conducting relief operations amidst this ongoing pandemic,” Police Brigadier General Sermonia added.

“I renew my appeal to all our kind-hearted and wealthy kababayans to help provide for the less fortunate or most vulnerable sectors in every barangay thru Rektang Bayanihan,” the official added.

The undertaking is in partnership with the Joint Peace Industrial Concern Office. (PIA-Central Luzon)
