TARLAC CITY -- About 120 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) at Barangay Ablang-Sapang in Moncada town received relief goods from Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Secretary John Castriciones said the distribution is in line with their PaSSOver: ARBold Move for Deliverance of ARBs from the Covid-19 Pandemic (ARBold Move) project which has been rolled-out to all provinces nationwide in response to the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

“ARBold Move Project aims to lessen the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to ARBs and Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) and provide support services that will address the demands affecting the agriculture sector,” he added.

Castriciones acknowledged the vital roles of ARBs and ARBOs in this time of health crisis.

“Our farmers, specifically our ARBs, are frontliners for they ensure the food security of the Filipino people during this Covid-19 pandemic,” the cabinet official said.

Relative to this, DAR Tarlac has started the distribution of relief goods to 3,043 ARBs in the province.

Production inputs will likewise be given to selected ARBOs as well as livelihood projects to 15 selected women ARBs. (PIA-Central Luzon)
