FIFTEEN individuals from Central Luzon were reportedly injured while using fireworks during the New Year revelry.

Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon Director Matthew Baccay said the injuries were reported from Angeles City, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, and Pampanga.

Meanwhile, Baccay said no fatalities were reported during the holiday celebration.

Aside from fireworks-related injuries, Baccay said no firearm of Philippine National Police personnel was involved in indiscriminate firing during the eve and the actual celebration of New Year.

"I commend the entire Central Luzon police force for a job well done, putting aside their personal convenience and comfort in exchange for a peaceful, safe, and injury-free Holiday celebration. I would like also to thank our public for their continuous cooperation with us which immensely contributed to a safe merriment," Baccay said.
