190 Bacolor students get financial aid

SOME 190 college scholars in Bacolor, Pampanga received their financial assistance provided by the Provincial Government.

Each of the students received P3,000.

The funding came from the Educational Financial Assistance program of Governor Dennis Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, and the Provincial Board.

Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr., Pampanga Councilors' League president Venancio Macapagal, Bacolor Mayor Eduardo Datu and other members of the Municipal Council of Bacolor led the distribution of the assistances at the Bacolor Gym.

Datu said the students received P3,000 each to help them and their parents with their financial needs.

Most of the beneficiaries are college students studying in different schools in Pampanga.

“We believe that it takes a village to educate a child. In this case, the town would like to contribute a little to the burden of expenses that parents would shoulder in sending their children to school,” he added.
