3 bars in AC ordered closed

THREE bars at the entertainment district in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, were ordered closed for operating without permits.

This was learned from Police Colonel Joyce Patrick Sangalang, chief of the city police, who led a team of cops who assisted personnel of the city’s Business Permit and Licensing Division and Social Welfare and Development Office during a recent saturation drive upon the orders of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, Jr.

Sangalang said through the relentless effort of ACPO and the mayor, the operation was conducted to fight lawlessness particularly human trafficking and child exploitation.

The police director named the night clubs Owls Nest Bacarra and Red Bar which allegedly failed to present documents to operate.

The city government is also working to prevent illegal vendors, entertainment establishments, and mendicants in Barangay Balibago.

A mission order signed by the mayor was executed upon order of Evangeline Malonzo of the BPLD, according to the police chief.

The raiding team was composed of city police’s Anti-Trafficking In Persons Task Group (CATTG), SWAT, City Mobile Force Company, Police Station 2, Police Station 4 and Police Station 6, Sangalang said.

After the operation, establishment managers and owners were invited to Police Station 4 for questioning and filing of appropriate charges in court.
