CABANATUAN CITY -- Four doctors are among those confirmed positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Nueva Ecija.
According to Governor Aurelio Umali, the four doctors are part of the 15 confirmed cases of the virus as of March 30.
Three of the doctors are from Gapan City and one from Cabanatuan City.
Aside from these, a staff of the Cabiao General Hospital who is a resident of Gapan City has likewise tested positive for Covid-19.
This is related to the confirmation that there is local transmission in the province in which the doctors contracted the virus while attending to the needs of Covid-19 patients here.
Umali said that the provincial government, in response, have tightened security in checkpoints and advised residents to wear face masks at all times to curb the spread of the virus. (PIA-Central Luzon)
