42 new Covid-19 cases in Pampanga over the weekend

FORTY-TWO new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were recorded in Pampanga on November 7, according to data from the Department of Health’s (DOH) Covid-19 tracker, which showed a decline in the number of infections in the province.

This brought the total number of confirmed cases in Pampanga to 68,535 as of November 8.

Of this number, 66,322 have recovered from the disease.

The total number of active cases was already down to 516.

Some 1,697 people have since died from the disease.

The DOH data showed that 53,339 of the confirmed cases are from Pampanga.

Local data from the Provincial Government of Pampanga and Angeles City, however, vary on the actual number of cases, deaths and active cases.

The DOH said that Pampanga had recorded 505 new cases in the last 14 days.

The DOH data also showed that local health facilities in Pampanga are no longer stretched compared to previous weeks, with the number of infections having declined significantly.

Of the 47 health facilities in the province, only one is now in critical level, while another is at high risk.

Pampanga’s bed occupancy is currently at 19 percent, one the lowest in previous weeks. This means that only 204 the total 1,074 hospital beds available in the province are currently occupied. Some 870 hospital beds remained vacant.
