DOZENS of container vans turned into quarantine facilities for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patients were inaugurated in Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon on Monday morning, December 28.

Philippine National Police Chief General Debold Sinas personally led the blessing of the total 44 quarantine facilities for uniformed and non-uniformed policemen who will be infected with the virus.

PRO-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon said each container van is divided into two air-conditioned rooms that have a partition according to the standards set by the Department of Health, with one hospital bed, a table with chair and own toilet.

He added that free Wi-fi access is also provided within the quarantine sites to keep the patients occupied while recuperating.

"The facilities, which are inspired from the PNP-National Capital Region Police Office's, are response to General Sinas' call to build quarantine and treatment facilities for police personnel which has the following purposes: Isolate, Recuperate and Rest," Valeriano said.

Sinas, for his part, lauded the efforts of PRO-Central Luzon in continuously ensuring the safety of its personnel even during quarantine.

"I am happy that PRO-3 has already complied with these quarantine facilities that would cater to the needs of our uniformed and non-uniformed personnel," he said.
