55 Bataan farmers benefit from agriculture technology program

SOME 55 farmers in Bataan province benefited from the program being implemented under the Agriculture Innovation and Technology Center (AITC) by the provincial government.

Under the program, Bataan Governor Albert Garcia said rice plantations are monitored digitally, weather disturbances are projected earlier and a modern irrigation system is put in place.

(In total, 55 farmers have participated in 1Bataan AITC, which has been assisted from planting to selling their produce. In addition, the worries of our fellow farmers will be reduced because the farms are being monitored digitally. The weather forecast is also visible and there is a modern irrigation system where fertilizer also flows.)

The AITC, situated in Dinalupihan town, is now providing opportunities to farmers in other towns in Bataan, according to Garcia.

This was after the Department of Agriculture provided additional funds for the program, the governor said.

(We continue to develop programs that can improve the quality of life not only of farmers but also in all sectors of our society so that no Bataeno is left behind in development.)
