84.6% of total Covid-19 patients in Central Luzon recover

NEARLY 25,000 individuals who tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, which causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), in Central Luzon have already recovered.

Based on the data released by the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Luzon, a total of 24,730 out of the 29,25040 patients who contracted the disease since March have already recuperated.

This is equivalent to 84.6 percent recovery rate for Covid-19 in the region, the agency reported.

Of the total number, DOH-Central Luzon noted that a total of 462 individuals have recovered on Monday, February 22, alone.

On the same day, the total number of active cases was at 3,457, or about 11.8 percent of the infected population.

From the number, 1,453 are considered asymptomatic and are still in isolation facilities -- of which 61 are on severe condition and 15 are critical -- 1,885 are mildly asymptomatic, and 43 are mildly manifesting symptoms.

The number of deaths in the region, meanwhile, was at 3.6 percent, or about 1,053 individuals.
