AC donates tables, chairs to day cares

ANGELES CITY Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., distributed wooden chairs, tables, and school supplies to three day care centers here.

Lazatin distributed the school chairs and supplies to Cuayan Child Development Center, Sto. Niño Child Development Center, and Horeb River of Life Child Development Center.

Each school received 30 wooden chairs, five tables, and school supplies.

Lazatin said 2,213 day care students — 1,062 boys and 1,151 girls — will benefit from the donated wooden chairs.

One table can accommodate six students.

Aside from the school supplies and school furniture, the students will also receive Vitamin C and multivitamins.

“This is in line with our continuous aim to uplift the quality of education for our youth, and to also put a priority to our teachers in the centers,” Lazatin said.

He added that this is not just putting premium on the educational programs of the city but also promoting Gawang Angeleño.

The wooden tables and chairs to be distributed are locally-produced and made by IBAC Woodcrafts.

Members of the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso, City Nutrition Office headed by Jermaine Jam Aguila, and Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles assisted Lazatin during the distribution. - With reports from Ebenezer Buhat
