Angeles City Mayor Jon Lazatin said he recently ordered a regular clean up at the Pampang Public Market and rehabilitation of drainage system.

A team from the 20th Sangguniang Panlungsod conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing clean-up drive at Pampang Public Market, following Lazatin's directives.

Councilors Edu Pamintuan, Alex Indiongco and Niknok Bañola inspected the waste management practices and the progress of the current clean-up activities.

Lazatin said there will be no let-up in the clean-up drive. He emphasized that it should become a regular habit in the market area.

In addition to the cleanup, the mayor outlined plans to rehabilitate the market’s drainage system.

The project aims to connect the drainage network to the City’s Water Treatment Facility, which is located near the market, Lazatin said.

If realized, the connection is expected to improve wastewater management, the local chief executive added.

Lazatin also announced that he would conduct unannounced inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with the clean-up and sanitation upgrades.
