All peace and order councils in Pampanga ‘functional’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Department of Interior and Local Government Region III (DILG-3) said all of the peace and order councils in the Pampanga garnered ‘functional’ rating.

DILG-3 released on Monday the list of local government units in Central Luzon with functional peace and order councils.

The list includes the provincial government of Pampanga, and the three cities and 19 municipal governments in the province.

The assessment of the ratings is annually conducted by DILG to evaluate the functionality of regional, provincial, city and municipal peace and order councils.

The program acknowledges the innovations done by the councils and their secretariats, enhance their strategies and interventions and build an avenue to showcase their best practices.

Among the considerations of the DILG in evaluating the POCs’ overall performance include compliance to the prescribed membership composition, the number of meetings they conducted, their three-year term-based plan and budget allocation, their submitted accomplishment reports, their innovative programs on peace, order and public safety, and the general supervision of higher peace and order councils over lower ones.
