Angeles City distributes free school supplies, shoes to public school students

ANGELES CITY The city government led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., has started distributing free school supplies, uniforms, and shoes to public school students here.

Lazatin started the distribution on September 5 at the Northville 15 Integrated School (4,629 sets), EPZA Resettlement Elementary School (2,326 sets), Bonifacio V. Romero High School (569), and Bonifacio V. Romero Senior High School (1,330 sets).

Lazatin was joined Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Councilors Dan Lacson, and JC Parker Aguas during the distribution.

A total of 100,000 pairs of free school supplies, uniforms, and shoes will be personally delivered by Lazatin to the 53 public schools in the city.

Prior the kick-off distribution, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel inspected the uniforms, shoes, and school supplies.

With the supervision of Calaguas and Manuel, members of the Gender and Development Office, City Nutrition Office, Angeles City Emergency Command Center, General Services Office, and City Engineer’s Office will join and assist Lazatin in the set distribution.

During Lazatin’s inauguration for his second term, he promised to provide quality and accessible education saying, “No Angeleño youth will be left behind in terms of education.”
