THE Angeles City Government led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has started distributing risograph machines to 53 public schools in the city.

Lazatin, along with Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, started the distribution on September 16, 2021 in the seven schools — Pulung Cacutud Elementary School, Sapalibutad Elementary School, Gov. Rafael Lazatin Integrated School, Epza Resettle Elementary School, Bonifacio V. Romero High School, Cutud Elementary School, and Northville 15 Integrated School.

A risograph can assist schools in reproducing learning modules as the new school year starts.

With one risograph unit per school are 20 bottles of ink, 10 markers and 100 reams of bond papers.

The City Government has allotted P10 million for the acquisition of the risograph machines and ink and P5 million for bond papers.

“In the face of the pandemic, let us continue to assist our education sector in adjusting to the new normal setting,” Lazatin said.

The distribution in the remaining 46 public schools will follow suit.

Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel also started distributing computer sets to 10 selected public schools at their personal capacity, Beautéderm talent fees and using the funds raised for Brigada Eskwela.

Amid the pandemic, the City Government has distributed 63,200 tablets for the use of public school teachers, Grades 4 to 12 students and city scholars in their online classes.

Internet cards were also provided for free access to WiFi.

A total of 700 satellite units were installed city-wide for the free WiFi connection, alongside the distribution of internet learning cards to the teachers and students for better internet access.

Lazatin said no one should be denied education, especially at this time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
