THE Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., launched a visual art exhibit featuring the artworks of 19 Angeleña artists in celebration of National Women’s Month.

Dubbed as “Óbrang Bábáyi,” the exhibit at SM City Clark was officially opened to the public on March 1 after a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Lazatin, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega Cabigting, Assistant Mall Manager Lourdes Alarcon, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, and Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles.

Lazatin said the exhibit aims to help struggling artists get back on their feet amid the new normal setting and to recognize the significant contributions of women in the community.

As the City Government marks the celebration of Women’s Month, Lazatin also vows to continue to provide programs that will uplift the welfare of Angeleñas.

Among the programs being undertaken for women are livelihood programs, strengthening women’s desks at the barangay level, the establishment of solo parents' affairs, and free health services such as pap smear.
