Angeles City LGU issues revised MECQ guidelines

THE Angeles City Government has issued revised guidelines on the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

Only residents with ages 21 to 59 are allowed to go outside of their respective residences to access basic necessities and report for work in industries permitted to operate under the MECQ.

Minors and senior citizens are advised to stay at home except when obtaining essential goods and services and working which is permitted under the MECQ guidelines.

Pregnant women and residents with medical conditions and their family members are also advised to stay home.

Meanwhile, the City Government led the jeepney drivers in installing plastic barriers inside public utility vehicles in preparation of the MECQ lifting.

IC Calaguas, chief adviser and taction of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., directed City Engineer Donato Dizon to supervise the installation of the protective barriers.

In his recent meeting with members of the Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (MACCII), Lazatin earlier appealed to the business sector to prioritize AngeleƱos in the hiring of new workers amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
