ANGELES CITY—The city government here opened its annual sports fest on April 14.
The opening ceremonies of the Palarong Panlungsod were led by Councilor Marino Bañola and Angeles City Sports Officer Maeve Mendiola at The Infinity Event Center in Barangay Pulung Maragul.
The yearly sports fest is aimed to promote sports in the grassroots level.
The event showcases the participation of the 33 barangays here in 3x3 Under-18 Boy’s Basketball, 3x3 Women’s Basketball, Men’s, and Women’s Volleyball.
Promoting sports among the youth is part of the flagship programs of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr.
Through sports, the city aims to instill values of discipline, sportsmanship, and excellence to young athletes.
