THE CITY Government of Angeles has reported Friday, April 2, 2021 that four patients have died from Covid-19.

These brought the total number of mortalities of the virus in the city to 155 as of April 2, 2021.

On the same day, the City Health Office recorded 49 new infections.

With this, Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. has ordered for the strict implementation of health protocols and screening of persons entering the city.

The mayor issued an order adopting the extension of Governor Dennis Pineda's Executive Order Number 5 that added 10 more days to the strict quarantine protocols in Pampanga.

Individuals below 18 years old and above 60 years old, including pregnant women and those with medical conditions, are not allowed to go out of their residences.

Lazatin directed barangay leaders to conduct checkpoints and prevent residents from visiting other households.

Non-residents are required to present RT-PCR test with negative results not more than 72 hours upon entry to the city.

Lazatin said 2,256 of the 2,980 total patients had recovered from the virus.

"Pairalin po natin ang disiplina para makaiwas tayo sa pagkakakahawa sa COVID 19," the mayor told the residents.
