Angeles City records 66 Covid-19 cases

THE City Government of Angeles has recorded a total of 66 coronavirus disease-2019 cases as of July 31.

Of the figure, there are 28 active cases and 23 of the patients acquired the virus inside Angeles City while five were infected outside the city.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said 23 of the 28 cases were transmitted inside the city.

Of the 23, eight patients are from Barangay Balibago; three from Cutcut; three from Malabanias; two from Claro M. Recto; two from Pulung Maragul; two from Santo Domingo; one from Margot; one from Pampang; and one from Pulung Cacutud.

The mayor said that some five patients were infected outside the city.

Some 34 patients have recovered from the disease, according to Lazatin.

Of the number, the mayor said seven of the healed patients are from Barangay Santo Domingo; four from Pampang; three from Cutcut; three from Margot; three from Pulung Maragul; two from Balibago; two from Lourdes North West; two from Ninoy Aquino; one from Agapito Del Rosario; one from Lourdes Sur East; one from Pandan; one from Pulungbulu; one from San Jose; one from Sapang Bato; one from Santa Teresita; and one from Santo Cristo.

Lazatin said of the 66 total cases, four patients have already died.

The local chief executive appealed to the residents to cooperate with the government in terms health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the city.

He also urged non-residents to defer their non essential visit in Angeles as the local government is strictly enforcing quarantine guidelines due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the city.

Lazatin urged his constituents to always observe social distancing, wear face mask, sanitize and disinfect both hands and follow other health standards.
