Angeles installs lanterns for Independence Day

ANGELES CITY— The city government here has installed lanterns designed for the 125th comemmoration of Philippine Independence Day on June 12.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., said the lanterns will remind Angeleños of the greatest contributions of the country’s unsung heroes.

Chief Adviser IC Calaguas on May 2, 2023 instructed members of the City Engineer's Office, headed by Engr. Donato Dizon, to install and light up the Independence Day lanterns along major thoroughfares in the city.

The lanterns, which carry the colors of the Philippine flag, were conceptualized by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.

The city government, under Lazatin's watch, has been promoting local talents in lantern making, boosting the city’s tourism.
