ANGELES City police have confiscated P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lourdes North West, Angeles City on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Police Colonel Rommel Batangan, city police director, said the illegal drugs were seized from high-value targets Lanilou Esguerra, 38, of Barangay Pandan; Mark Gerald Toledano, 26, of Pandan; and William Cortez, 39, of Pulung Cacutud.

The police director said the confiscated shabu weighed 207 grams and worth P1,407,600.

Police Major Daryl O. Gonzales and his team conducted the operation that resulted in the arrest of the three suspects.

City police requested representatives from the barangay and media for inventory and marking of evidence.

The suspects were charged with drug possession and pushing by local police.

Batangan said the Angeles City Police Office has intensified its drive against illegal drugs amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Police Captain Agnes Nolasco said this is in consonance with the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon's Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo under the directive of Philippine National Police Chief Debold Sinas and Central Luzon police director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon.
