THE Municipal Government of Arayat has been named the best performing local government unit (LGU) in Pampanga for the year 2020.
The recognition was awarded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) based on the town's implementation of the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).
PCF is the monetary grant given by the DILG to LGUs that received the Seal of Good Local Governance award.
The grant must be allocated to a specific infrastructure program that will benefit constituents.
Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino, who received the award virtually, expressed gratitude to the DILG for recognizing their efforts.
"We are very thankful to the DILG for recognizing our hard work in implementing honestly the projects they awarded to us. Rest assured that the local government of Arayat is always true to its commitment of delivering quality public service to our people," he said.
