Batangas townsfolk get free meds, check-up

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Residents of Barangay Quilib in Rosario town in Batangas received medical attention and medicines from a team brought in by Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda to help in relief efforts after the recent eruption of Taal volcano.

Some 124 received free medical check-up and medicines from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) last Wednesday, January 29.

PHO head Dr. Marcelo Jaochico said a total of nine doctors and 10 nurses from the provincial and district hospitals were deployed to give assistance in the medical mission.

The residents were also given food packs of rice and canned goods.

In line with this, the Pampanga team also distributed food packs, non-food items and other essentials in the towns of Talisay, Agoncillo, and Lian.
