BIR files raps vs illegal businesses

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue Region 4 filed charges of unlawful pursuit of business against Partners K and L Construction, Inc. and Glad We Inc. along with the two companies’ officers.

During a press briefing Tuesday, December 18, BIR regional director Jethro Sabariaga named the respondents in the case. Those charged include Kim Jae Won – chairman, Godelio Barbara Jr. – president and Jeannie Cabrera – treasurer.

For Glad We Inc., those charged include Kim Yongil – chairman, Godelio Barbara Jr. – president and Diana Maglalang – treasurer. Sabariaga said that they were charged for carrying on businesses without payment of annual registration fee.

The BIR said that their records showed that Partners K AND L Construction, Inc. was doing business under the name and style Hado Hotel, Hado Restaurant and Snow Bingsu Coffee Shop and Night Bar without payment of annual registration fee for taxable year 2018.

The Glad We Inc. is carrying on a business named “Myun Myun Myun Restaurant” without registration and payment of annual registration fee for taxable year 2018.

Records also show that Hado Hotel, Hado Restaurant and Snow Snow Bingsu Coffee Shop and Night Bar used unregistered/unauthorized POS machines and issued official receipts under the name of Glad We Inc.

The criminal complaints are the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th Run After Tax Evaders (Rate) case filed by BIR Revenue Region No. 4 – City of San Fernando, Pampanga, under the leadership of Jethro Sabariaga for calendar year 2018.
