KAPAMPANGAN businessman and real estate developer Jeffrey Dizon has increased to P3.2 million the reward for credible information that will lead to the arrest of suspects behind the alleged “attempts to his life.”

In a press statement, Dizon on Saturday, December 5, 2020, said he added another P200,000 to increase the cash reward from the original reward of P3 million, claiming alleged “threats to his life” reportedly resumed.

Dizon also claimed he was allegedly followed by suspicious-looking men recently.

He first offered the reward after he was reportedly shot on February 29, as he took a call on his mobile phone at his residence in Angeles City. Dizon said the alleged sniper "missed.”

In a police report obtained by SunStar Pampanga, investigators confirmed three gunshot holes on the outside wall of his house in the family’s compound in Angeles City. No slugs were found in what the businessman described as a “sniper’s attack.”

Dizon said he hoped that the additional reward would “persuade and encourage witnesses, accomplices or accessories” to provide information on the “brains” behind the alleged assassination plot and recent casing incidents that he claimed.

Dizon said he is “not pointing a finger to anyone” and his only wish is for the suspects to be identified along with the alleged mastermind.

"I have no suspects now and that the only possible dispute I have is regarding the family business, St. Catherine Realty," Dizon said.

In a later press conference, he “cleared” his kin from the alleged “assassination attempt.”

Dizon is a shareholder and director together with siblings, City of San Fernando Councilor Celestino, Erwin, Lea Dizon-Angeles and his mother, Ludivina Singian-Dizon, in the family corporation engaged in several real estate projects in Pampanga and Angeles City.

Dizon said he is thankful for the help and assistance given by Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Director-General Valeriano De Leon.

De Leon earlier assigned a team to regularly check on Dizon's security since last month. (Chris Navarro)
