CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Bulacan State University (BulSU) opened its satellite campus in San Rafael town, the first in the third district of Bulacan and the sixth in the province.

Located along the Plaridel Arterial Bypass Road in Barangay San Roque, the BulSU San Rafael Campus, it has twin four-storey buildings constructed in a two-hectare land donated by Filinvest Corporation with a P200 million funding from the 2021 national government funding.

The campus has complete facilities like restrooms in every floor, ramps for persons with disabilities and pleasing landscape architecture, aside from the 40 fully airconditioned classrooms and wash areas for students.

Currently, the BulSU-San Rafael Campus has 189 students taking up Nursing, Psychology, Biology at Medical Technology.

In the next three years, BulSU is eyeing the roll out of Medicine for future scholars under Republic Act 11509 or "Doktor para sa Bayan Act."

BulSU President Cecilia Gascon said the only external campus of the university was established by virtue of Republic Act 11329 which became a statutory law on Abril 22, 2019.

BulSU's main campus in Malolos City was established in 1904, followed by the Bustos Campus in 1976, Sarmiento Campus in San Jose Del Monte in 1998, Meneses Campus in Bulakan in 2000 and Hagonoy Campus in 2011.
