Reelected City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma Caluag belied allegations that she and her Team Laban San Fernando engaged in electoral fraud during the May 12 polls.
The mayor's statement came after her opponent in the mayoral race, Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, filed a protest before the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Main Office on Thursday, May 22.
“Balu da reng tau na ala kung kapasidad mamurayit, at balu da reng tau ninu ing atin kapasidad mamurayit,” Caluag said.
Caluag said Pineda-Cayabyab has the right to file an electoral protest if they are not satisfied with the results.
She added that she and her legal team are awaiting official directives from the Commission on Elections before making any formal response or taking action.
“Ali ta naman apaghimasukan nung nanu ing opinyon da. Atin tamung kanya-kanyang opinyon. Panayan miya ing order ning Comelec kanyan kaybat karin tamu magcomment,” Caluag said.
