CANDABA ranked first among municipalities in Pampanga on the compliance rate on the Manila Bay Rehabilitation, Clean-up and Preservation program.

Based on the scoreboard released by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Department of the Interior and Local Government, the municipality scored 89.75 percent on the Local Government Compliance Assessment Program conducted recently.

This is the highest among the 19 municipalities in the province, followed by Apalit with 82.65 percent compliance rate, Bacolor with 82.05 percent, Floridablanca with 81.70 percent and Arayat with 80.85 percent.

Mayor Rene Maglanque, meanwhile, congratulated barangays for their excellent compliance in the said program.

He said the municipality is committed in helping rehabilitate and preserve Manila Bay through weekly clean-up drives conducted by barangay and communities.

"This is another result of unity and teamwork of the people of Candaba, and together we can do more for our environment and the community," Maglanque said.
