Capitol all set for Virgen Delos Remedios coronation rites

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Provincial Capitol grounds will again be the venue of this year's 67th anniversary of the re-enactment of the canonical coronation of the image of the Virgen Delos Remedios (VDLR).

The Holy Redeemer Vicariate was chosen to host this year's VDLR's canonical coronation.

The vicariate covers the parishes of St. Monica, Sto. Domingo, Parish of the Lord's Annunciation, St. Michael, the Archangel Parish, San Luis Parish, Nuestra Señora de la Merced, and Virgen de Lourdes make up the vicariate in the towns of Mexico, San Luis, and Candaba.

This year's celebration runs with the theme: "Kalupa mung mikapnuan king grasya, abayan mu kaming mangapmu mu naman king grasia."

The procession of the sacred images of the Santo Cristo del Perdon and Virgen Delos Remedios will start at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando all the way to the provincial Capitol grounds for the thanksgiving Mass.
