Capitol launches new healthcare program
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- In a bid to extend and further improve the healthcare services intended for needy kabalens, the provincial government launched “Alagang Nanay: Health Care Delta.”
The launching was held during the “Empowering Women through Involvement in Disaster Management: Orientation on Gender Meeting” on Thursday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.
The new and improved healthcare program of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda was introduced to some 2,107 Nanay Community Workers (NCWs). The new healthcare program aims to provide a centralized medical service delivery network for all needy Kapampangans.
According to Governor Pineda, the project is a tribute to the motherly love and care extended by Vice-Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda to Kapampangans during her term as governor of the province.
Under the program, all patients who wish to avail of it need to consult their barangay officials and other authorized officials like members from Nars ng Nayon, Municipal Health Office (MHO), and NCWs, or directly go to the Governor’s Office.
The new healthcare system is not only confined at the rural and district hospitals.
Furthermore, the provincial government would also be responsible in endorsing and referring patients even in private hospitals where it has an existing Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA).
To date, there are at least five private hospitals and four dialysis centers which already entered into agreement with the provincial government.
The five private hospitals are Apalit Doctor’s Hospital Inc., Rosario Memorial Hospital, Dr. Amado L. Garcia Medical Center Inc., Floridablanca Doctor’s Hospital Inc., and Pampanga Medical Specialist Hospital.
Meanwhile, the four dialysis centers are Hope Dialysis Center, Toledano Medical Clinic and Dialysis Center, St. Theresa Dialysis Center, Inc., and St. Agustine Dialysis Center.
“These hospitals and dialysis centers shall extend complete medical treatment including surgical procedures, diagnostic and laboratory services to all beneficiaries of the Alagang Nanay: Health Care Delta,” an official said. (PR)
