City develops skills of child development workers

CHILD development workers in the City of San Fernando attended the whole-day "Child Development Workers Training on Ear and Hearing Screening" on Thursday, July 12, at the Tierra Linda Building, through the initiatives of the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

A highlight of the discussion was the proper method on how to analyze and detect early a child who has hearing loss and how to treat it.

The local government believes that child development workers play an integral part in the lives of the children, because their mission is to mold and monitor the over-all development at their young age.

Mayor Edwin Santiago stressed that the city government puts importance on early childcare and development.

"We have always regarded early childcare development as a pillar in nurturing better citizens. That is why we give priority to it in our goal to make the young good citizens in the future," he said. (JTD)
