CL farmers from DA's fertilizer aid program

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —The Department of Agriculture (DA) for Central Luzon conducted an orientation and signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Fertilizer Merchants of Tarlac for the National Rice Program Fertilizer Discount Voucher Support.

This is under the Rice Banner Program in partnership with the Provincial Agriculture Office of Tarlac.

The purpose of the program is to inform DA partner fertilizer merchants regarding the proper implementation of the Fertilizer Discount Voucher program for the year 2023.

Billy Roy Aquino, representative of the Regional Rice Banner Program, said the giving of vouchers will start in the coming wet season.

He added that the guidelines for the implementation of the program.

Aquino mentioned the use of the Intervention Management Platform system and discussed the correct pricing of fertilizers to be distributed to farmers.

The official added that the fertilizers that can be distributed to farmers are Complete (14-14-14), Urea (46-0-0), Ammonium sulfate (21-0-0), Muriate of potash (0-0-60). all of which are registered with the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA).

Fertilizer Vouchers worth P4,000 per hectare will be distributed to rice farmers registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture and encoded in the Farmers and Fisherfolk Registry System and can be exchanged at DA's accredited fertilizer merchants.
