SOME 50 employees of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) recently completed their Military Orientation Training (MOT) conducted by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) Reserve Command-2nd Air Reserve Center in Clark Freeport.

During the graduation ceremony of MOT Class 2019A, PAF Lieutenant Colonel and commanding officer Arthur Balunes lauded the CDC employees for their perseverance to finish the training.

"With your journey as reservists of the Philippine Air Force as 2320th Affiliated Units, your efforts and sacrifices should be recognized for its immense significance. You have proved your dedication to hurdle challenges as you were introduced to the rudiments of military organization and mold you to become better individuals," Balunes told the new PAF reservists.

Balunes also underscored the importance of being a responsible citizen while he specified the nature of "selfless service" to the country.

"This time, we chose to train ourselves and be ready for a call for service or duty. We seek the purpose of this training and pursue the goal of broadening our purpose in life. For whatever reason we are here, they lead to one major reason and its clear, it is for us to make a difference and to take part in molding a better society," he said.

The PAF spearheaded the program in cooperation with CDC-Human Resource Division. Accordingly, the MOT Class 2019A is already the third batch of CDC employees who have undergone various and rigorous activities before completing the training. These include reception activity, lectures, Immediate Action Drills (IAD), Firing or Marksmanship activity and Field Training Exercises, among others.

The fourth batch of MOT for CDC employees will commence in October this year.

In November 2018, CDC president and CEO Noel F. Manankil signed a Memorandum of Agreement with PAF for the facilitation of the training. (PR)
