The 2nd Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Mexico-San Luis has approved the bail of 3rd District Board Member Estelito “Shiwen” Lim, who is facing multiple counts of estafa.

In an order dated August 12, 2025, Presiding Judge Richard G. Evangelista said the accused voluntarily surrendered to the court’s jurisdiction and posted the required cash bonds of P18,000 for each of the three criminal cases he is facing.

Finding the bonds sufficient and the supporting documents in order, Evangelista approved the cash bonds and granted Pamintuan provisional liberty.

The court also recalled all warrants of arrest issued against him.

The charges stem from alleged violations of Article 315, paragraph 2(a) of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Section 85 of Republic Act No. 10951.

Lim maintained that he is not a scammer and that the ongoing issue has only made him stronger.

Lim also expressed his gratitude to Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda for helping him communicate with the complainants in relation to his failed business.
