CSF holds first ICT summit

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Techies on September 5 gathered at the SM City Pampanga Event Center for the city's first ever Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Summit.

The two-day ICT Summit aims to achieve a “smart-sustainable city” phase for San Fernando, from insights and inputs gathered shared by public and private sector participants about the industry.

The first day of the ICT Summit centered on a series of “Tech Talks” featuring six resource speakers from various fields representing various corporations and agencies.

These include VST ECS Philippines, Inc. (Bridging Threat Protection and Cyber Risk Management), Department of Information and Technology-Pampanga (E-Government Program/E-Government Super App), Kodak Alaris (Kodak Alaris Scanning Solutions) and Information Technology Business Solutions Corporation (AI-Powered Government).

Mayor Vilma Caluag said the ICT Summit is a good step for San Fernando as the convergence between the ICT industry and community will help achieve its goals of becoming a smart city.

During the first day of the summit, smartwatches, smartphones, an Android TV, among other ICT items were also given away in a raffle draw, while a recruitment activity was held for jobseekers.
