CSF holds flood response simulation

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The city government of San Fernando, through its Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, conducted a flood drill and simulation.

The simulation aims to test the preparedness of the city’s emergency response and augmentation to barangays in scenarios that need evacuation or additional manpower and vehicular support.

Other essential units such as City Health Office – Health Emergency Management Staff (HEMS), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), San Fernando Rescue Unit (SAFRU) and the City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office (CPOSCO) joined the activity.

Over 25 families participated as test samples, while the barangay officials of San Juan also assisted in the exercise.

During the simulation, personnel of CDRRMO evacuated test samples from Barangay San Juan to the Permanent Evacuation Center in Barangay Lara.

The activity was evaluated by CDRRMO Chief Raymond Del Rosario and Red Cross Pampanga representative Rowena Flores.
