CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The city government here on Wednesday recognized various stakeholders from the tourism industry.
At least 160 business establishments were conferred with plaques and certificates during the 5th edition of the Tourism Star Awards held at the Heroes Hall.
The Tourism Star Awards is aimed to recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate individuals, businesses, and partners in the travel and tourism industry that have shown innovation and adaptation to the challenge of the pandemic.
Among the recipients are hotels, event centers, resorts and villas, malls, amusement parks, tourist agencies, as well as non-government organizations and barangays.
Mayor Vilma Caluag said the city government continues to recognize the tourism industry as a thanksgiving for their contribution to the development of San Fernando.
“Gusto natin i-boost ‘yung morale nila para mas lalo pa silang magsumikap dahil pagdevelop ng negosyo nila ay development din ng San Fernando,” she said.
The mayor added that tourism industry play a huge role in promoting San Fernando’s rich history, culture, and tradition, and in strengthening the local economy with their products, services, advocacies, and initiatives.
Members of the newly-reconstituted CSFP Arts, Culture, and Tourism Council were also presented and took oath during the event.
