THE Department of Agriculture (DA)-Central Luzon through the Gender and Development Focal Point System conducted training on mushroom production on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Central Luzon Integrated Agricultural Research Center (CLIARC) Paraiso in Tarlac City.
This is in collaboration with the Rice Banner Program, Central Luzon Integrated Agricultural Research Center for Lowland Development, and CLIARC Research Outreach Station-Botolan.
The project aims to mass-produce quality mushroom planting materials, specifically, pure cultures, grain spawn, and fruiting bags with the use of low-cost and adaptive technologies generated and verified by the institution.
As part of the month-long celebration of Women’s Month 2022, the main purpose of the training is to enhance employees’ knowledge of technologies, projects and activities provided by the DA.
